Ahavat Israel is an interactive, participatory art installation designed to fill a space with the healing power of love during this critical time in Israel’s story. Conceived by artist Elana Langer (חוה), and produced in partnership with the L’ishma Foundation, the artwork will invite Jews around the world to express their ahavat israel — their love for Israel — through personal messages, blessings, and prayers to create an immersive art experience of unified love for Am Israel, the people of Isreal.

This project seeks to create a space of love and unity  — an art installation formed by the people, for the people, celebrating the deep love that we have for each other and the power of Am Yisrael’s ability to join together to heal through love.

The Vision

At its heart, Ahavat Israel will be composed of 600,000 individual messages of love and hope. Each message, engraved, handwritten or drawn on a small wooden piece in the shape of an aleph, the first letter in the Hebrew word for love.

When assembled together, these pieces will form a luminous sculpture — a physical embodiment of the 600,000 souls imprinted at Sinai and the healing power of our ability to connect as one.
