600,000 Alephim (ones) as ONE
An Interactive Installation | 600,000 Unique Pieces. One Collective Work.
600,000 as ONE is a large-scale, participatory installation that explores the dynamic tension between individuality and collective identity. Rooted in the symbolic number 600,000—representing the souls said to have stood together at Mount Sinai—the work invites participants to engage with the Hebrew letter Alef (א), the ancient symbol for One, the origin, the Divine.
Each participant receives a blank Alef and is invited to personalize it as an expression of their understanding and commitment to being one, and to the fundamental truth that there is only One. This individual act of creation becomes an affirmation—both personal and spiritual—of what it means to live as ma'aminim bnei ma'aminim (believers, children of believers), generating positive energy through conscious intention.
The final piece will feature 600,000 Alefs suspended in a circular formation, symbolizing the collective consciousness at Sinai. As each blank Alef is personalized and returned, the installation will gradually transform from a uniform field into a vibrant, multifaceted tapestry. This evolving work will serve as a living archive of participation—a visual embodiment of the paradox of Oneness, where every unique expression enriches and strengthens the unity of the whole.
By engaging the sacred letter Alef as both canvas and symbol, 600,000 as ONE becomes not just an artwork, but a communal act of faith, memory, and spiritual alignment.
